High-Priority Issues
Jody Rice-White believes that she can be the solution to these high priority issues that Americans are fighting for. She wants to be your voice and bring awareness to what others try to sweep under the rug. Reach out today to find out what Jody is doing to fight for your right on these issues.
Members of both political parties have concluded that Michigan is spending far less than it needs to spend to maintain its roads, bridges, and public utilities. Do you agree, and if so, how should the state generate sufficient funds to maintain and improve Michigan’s infrastructure?
There were viable options presented by former State Senator Patrick Colbeck a couple of years ago. An overview of his plan, which to me potentially represents the best option moving forward included what he called the “Bolger plan’ which would “ensure that 100 percent of the taxes raised at the gas pump would go toward fixing our roads.” Patrick’s second stated option would be to “freeze the general fund budgets, allocating 100 percent of “one-time” spending to roads, then using the Budget Stabilization Fund to stabilize the budget and also open up several restricted funds to allow usage of their fund balances to offset road maintenance costs” and the third option Patrick presented was “to reduce our expenses.” Patrick broke these expense reduction opportunities into “MDOT cost reductions, non-MDOT government cost reductions and the removal of federal regulations that drive up the cost of road construction.” If this plan was good enough for Patrick Colbeck, it’s good enough for me.
What, if anything, should the state government do to limit the transmission of the coronavirus or prepare for future pandemics?
The State Government's proper role is to do nothing except protect and defend the people’s Liberty. The People who are elected, appointed or employed for the State Government do not have the power to limit transmissions of a virus. Preparation for future medical concerns of The People is the role of the individual and their family members. As an advocate for The People, I will resist any and all attempts by The State to control, coerce, demand, detain and/or deny All Persons of their God-given Rights to Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness. I will use the microphone to encourage People to use common sense with regards to the multitude of illnesses that have been with Humankind since the beginning of time. Stay home if you are sick! Breath fresh air. Do not allow The State to force you into wearing a useless face mask that is the sign of submission to the whims of tyrants. Be brave; stay safe.
As the state works to spend federal COVID-19 relief funds, what should its priorities be?
The State Government's role should not be to “spend federal funds” in response to the Federal Government unconstitutionally printing fiat money for COVID or any other real or perceived purpose. The People who are elected, appointed or employed by the State Government do not have the delegated authority to frivolously spend money just because a so-called “relief fund” has been created for each state. It would probably more accurately be called a “bribery” fund or a “slush” fund, which is immoral if not illegal and which should be resisted at all costs and at all times by all States and by all free Peoples. My advocacy will be directed towards reining in the State Government to its fiscally responsible foundation.
What steps, if any, should state legislators take to reduce the use of unnecessary police force?
A better question might be “What steps, if any, should state public functionaries (otherwise incorrectly known as Legislators) take to eliminate the climate of lawlessness that permeates our society?” If criminal’s behaviors were scrutinized as much as the police force’s behaviors are being scrutinized these days, we might return the culpability for crime to the criminal and not to the law enforcement community. However, when or if an individual police officer or agency abuses their power (as might occur because the police are human beings too – men and women who have dedicated their lives to ensure the safety of The People – men and women who also must be provided with a climate of safety for themselves and for their families) the State Legislature must mandate that all policing agencies (at a state or local jurisdiction) are in compliance with good governance standards of fairness to and protection of The People.
Elder Abuse Advocacy
As a Former State Candidate in 2018, Rice-White received a felony charge after trying to expose probate scandals in Oakland County. Judges, attorneys & sheriffs are able to abuse their authority to take assets from MI Residents that don’t belong to them. Most of the Judges are allowing and promoting unsuitable behavior from Legal Professionals toward dementia, vulnerable & elderly Persons (who are being targeted for their assets, pensions, life savings & medical benefits). In 2019, after spending 33 days in jail, Rice-White turned her complaint over to the higher authorities through the State Court Administration, Tom Boyd and Attorney General Dana Nessel & AAG Scott Teter. These Attorneys in the Executive and Judiciary Branch ignored these events that still continue today! Rice-White's 3-year probation ended recently as the Offense Variable19-10 felony can be researched on Jody White's Facebook page & the Oakland Cty Register of Actions.
I'm advocating for access to 24/7 cameras in our Courthouse.
Vote Senate JODY RICE WHITE
When this questionnaire was distributed in June 2020, the nation waited for the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on Roe v. Wade. If the U.S. Supreme Court vacates Roe, would you support state legislation to preserve a woman’s right to seek an abortion in some circumstances?
A State Government Legislator’s (otherwise properly known as Public Functionary’s) role is protect and defend all Person's right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Our Declaration of Independence reminds us that All Men are Created Equal. Our God detests the spilling of innocent blood. An abortion is not only the spilling of the blood of a newly created man or woman, it is murder. What a Doctor and his patient do with the life in a womb will be judged by God. We must be a civil and compassionate society that values life from the womb to the grave. The only role that “the state” would legitimately have in this arena is to declare that we will not be complicit in the murder of People.
Do you believe Michigan should be allowed to regulate the availability of birth control?
What would make any Person think that “The State” should have any role in “regulating’ birth control? The state’s sole purpose is to provide an environment where men and women can be free to exercise their rights and their duties in the maintenance of a civil society. The state might use the power of their microphone to promote the perfect birth control: Abstinence until marriage. Other than possibly assisting in marketing the great character qualities of virtue and healthy morals, the state should have absolutely zero involvement in birth control.
Do you support amending the state constitution to require the state Legislature to establish a joint oversight committee with an equal number of members from both of the major parties, as Republican state Sen. Ed McBroom and Democratic Sen. Jeff Irwin have proposed?
All Public Functionaries in elected or appointed offices are limited to their constitutionally delegated functions granted to them by We the People. Our government workers need to stay in their limited delegated lanes of authority. The Senate and the House were established as counter parts that would limit the abuses contrived and committed by either of them against the people. The establishment of political parties has done much damage to the foundations of our Republic. The Constitution has already established that We the People are to hold oversight over the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government. If Sen. McBroom and Sen. Irwin were to succeed in “establishing a joint oversight committee” all that would accomplish is yet another unnecessary layer of bureaucracy that would act as an additional buffer to anyone in state government being held accountable for any of their actions. I advocate for a serious reduction in the size and scope of government.
Do you believe the 2020 election was fair? What election reforms do you support?
All power over elections is constitutionally mandated to the State legislative branch of government. Yet the public functionaries who hold this enormous power decided to abdicate their authority years ago and turn our election management system over to the executive branch. That was a huge unconstitutional mistake. Of course there was manipulation and fraudulent acts of law-breaking within the 2020 election process. Reform is easy. PAPER BALLOTS only, no machines, hold each local Clerk responsible for their precincts regarding the custody of ballots for the voters and all the tally documents with the chain of custody from registration, to vote, to tally. All voters must show valid, proper identification to vote. All voters must reside in the state legally. We should return to “election day” not “election month” or “election cycle.” There is far too much opportunity for tomfoolery when we allow a never ending opportunity to manipulate such an important process as our elections.
What changes, if any, would you make in Michigan’s formula for funding public schools?
In actuality, The State should get out of the business of unconstitutionally controlling, mandating, funding and busybodying with The People’s responsibility to ensure that they and their children are properly educated as participants in our Republic. The proper role of Public Functionaries (otherwise incorrectly known as Legislators) is protect and defend the Constitution(s) of Michigan and the United States. The State government might use their microphone to encourage all Persons to be able to read and comprehend at an 8th grade level, must be able to do basic math to understand basic life needs regarding money, and are able to understand the Constitution and the Legal Process to ascertain that NO ONE (not Accountants, Public Fiduciaries, Police Officers, Attorneys, Judges, and Public Functionaries) is above the Law and that those in these professional arenas should in fact be held to a higher standard so as to not take advantage of the General Public.
